Suspension of Classroom Learning

The Minister of Education in consultation with the Chief Provincial Public Health Officer has announced the suspension of classroom learning beginning March 23, 2020 and extending through April 10, 2020. The provincial announcement was made at 2:30pm today. Schools will remain fully open the week of March 16-20. Suspension of Extra-Curricular Activities

The COVID-19 situation is rapidly evolving. Provincial governments are moving quickly to contain and slow down the spread of the virus through preventive measures such as personal hygiene, social distancing, and disinfection of spaces. Yesterday afternoon, the Chief Provincial Public Health Officer of Manitoba advised schools to ensure ill staff and students stay home from school. Prevention of COVID-19

The COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve rapidly worldwide, with more countries reporting cases and an overall increase in case numbers. We recognize that students, parents/guardians, and employees may have concerns regarding the potential spread of the coronavirus in our school communities. To date, no laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases have been identified in Manitoba.
